If anything, the results of the election demonstrated that - forceful, accurate, and substantial criticism of the means, timing, and motivations of his critics - by the President and as undertaken on a regular basis - is at least as vital for the renewal and furtherance of the conservative movement as "bipartisanship," and "compromise."

We'll see if Democrats realize that pulling troops out now would result in the wholesale civil war slaughter of Sunnis by Shiites and vice versa. Inevitable, I think. Sad to say, had America's battle been joined with better insight about what might be required to prevail (cinches went out with the last century), and what the ramifications of prevailing or not might be, our troops would be in a much better situation today.
